Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Associate’s role consists of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our personnel and guests. The primary responsibilities will include routine cleaning tasks, trash and recycling management, safety checks, floor care, event support, and equipment maintenance. There is a commitment to adhering to safety protocols, communicating effectively with team members, and promoting environmental awareness which is essential in ensuring the overall cleanliness and functionality of our facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing restrooms to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Properly empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials in designated containers, following established disposal procedures.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other essential items to ensure a well-stocked inventory.
  • Conduct safety checks and promptly report any hazards, maintenance needs, or repairs required within the facility.
  • Manage basic floor care duties, including addressing spills and stains and utilizing appropriate equipment for floor maintenance.
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning before and after special events or meetings as needed.
  • Maintain and care for cleaning equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or repair needs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and operating equipment to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and cleaning-related emergencies to prevent hazards and ensure a clean environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and coworkers to coordinate cleaning schedules and address any issues.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.
  • Embrace flexibility in handling changing cleaning priorities and adapting to new situations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to building occupants and visitors, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, such as recycling and energy conservation, within the workplace.

Required Education - Experience:

  • Proficient reading and writing skills in English.
  • Background in custodian maintenance skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
