SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Community Programs Manager is responsible for the strategic management and implementation of the community-based programs, projects and partnerships that provide services to the blind and visually impaired community. The operational objectives are to facilitate and lead program development and implementation. The manager will ensure innovative client services while collaborating with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of the Vision Traction Organizer, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that profoundly and positively impact the people Outlook serves.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned).
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Outlook Enrichment programs
- Manage community outreach staff and daily operations of recreational, cultural, and outreach/community education programs
- Recommend program outcome metrics, ensure accurate tracking of outcomes, analyze program outcome results and make recommendations for program enhancements
- Manage wearable adaptive technology program
- Partner with Executive Director to craft program budgets and manage program day to day expenses to stay within budget
- Recommend and develop operating plan for new programming
- Plan, develop, coordinate community education events in conjunction with greater Outlook support team
- Prepare presentations, schedule and execute public speaking engagements representing and promoting Outlook Enrichment
- Coordinate and lead a cross-agency collaborative group, schedule and lead quarterly meetings and activities
- Lead planning and execution of Vision Resource Fair with assistance from grater Outlook team
- Ensure completion of client intake and exit interviews and response to client and community inquiries
- Assist in the development of grant applications or proposals, spending and outcomes reporting
- Support the building and strategic planning of the overall Outlook Enrichment mission
- Recruit and retain the best talent to deliver the highest standards of care and support
- Represent Outlook Enrichment at community events
- Provide support to the Executive Director of Enrichment, as needed
- Develop and manage relationships, leverage resources and expertise, while coordinating supports and services from an evolving network of external partner organizations, institutions, and individuals.
